Kappa Alpha Theta also known as Theta was born during a time when membership in an organization offering friendship and support for women on college campuses were nonexistent. However, in 1870 four women - Bettie Locke Hamilton, Alice Allen Brant, Bettie Tipton Lindsey, and Hannah Fitch Shaw founded the first Greek-letter fraternity for women in hopes it would grow and support all women in college.
Now, Theta currently has 147 chapters at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Theta initiated over 270,000 women with more than 200 alumnae chapters and circles worldwide. Theta’s don’t be afraid to stand out and make a difference together. Celebrate your achievement with our custom Kappa Alpha Theta Greek graduation stole. You deserve to shine.
